The Event
The World Dance Championship is sponsored by the CSIT, the Secretariat of State for Tourism, the Secretariat of State for Work and Sport, and will be organized by San Marino Welcome in collaboration with Davide Cacciari, President of the International Dance Technical Commission.
The championship will take place on 22-24 November 2024 and will last 3 days at the Multieventi Sports Domus.
Around 600 international participants and thousands of enthusiasts are expected.
The championships have a strong element of excitement: dancers are called to the final dance, dance after dance, meaning every vote counts. Emotions run high after each dance as each couple hopes to be called to the floor while those already on the floor hope to hear those famous words: “Stay on the floor!”
There are 3 exciting competitions on the program: the standard dances, which include slow waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, slow fox and quick step; Latin American dances, including Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive; and finally a third competition that includes all ten dances. Davide Cacciari, Technical Commissioner of the CSIT Sports Dance Federation, emphasized the attractiveness that San Marino has as the venue for this event. The competition, which will welcome dancers from 40 countries, favors the Republic of San Marino for its extraordinary beauty and unique charm.
The importance of these championships is highlighted not only by the highest quality dancing by the highest quality couples, but by the esteemed judges, past champions and expert teachers in the world of dance sport who surround the dance floor to admire and encourage dancers dressed in their finest attire, further enriching the feeling of greatness to which the dancers themselves aspire.
