From November 1st to 3rd, the SAN MARINO WELCOME CUP will take place: the First Amateur Padel World Championship. The event will be held within the Republic of San Marino at the Wonderbay Sports Center.
The event will be endorsed by CSIT and will be organized in collaboration with Mauro Marino, National Coordinator of the Tennis and Padel Sector, National Training Manager, and Secretary of the CSIT Technical Commission.
Padel is an increasingly popular sport: currently, it boasts over 1 million practitioners in Italy with a potential of 3 million in the coming years.
An unparalleled opportunity for participation and socialization awaits in the historic Republic of San Marino.
In addiction to the competition on the court, players will have the chance to immerse themselves in the unique and fascinating atmosphere of the Republic.
Regarding the sporting aspect, the tournament is characterized by fixed pairs and approximately 32 international pairs are expected to participate.
The categories include:
- Men’s doubles all ages;
- Women’s doubles all ages;
- Mixed doubles all age;
- Men’s doubles veterans over 45
The SAN MARINO WELCOME CUP for PADEL is reserved for amateur players only.
Participants (men, women, and juniors) ranked in the Padel FIP ranking cannot participate.
Competition days November 1-3, 2024. The boards will be spread over the three days: on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to about 8 p.m. group stage of all categories, on Saturday from about 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and on Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Players will be notified of the time of the first match on October 30 by email: the athletes will be summoned to the Secretariat 1 hour before the match.

San Marino Welcome organized the first edition of the San Marino Welcome Cup Padel on July 30th at 5 pm at the Wonderbay in San Marino. Thanks to the collaboration with Footballs Stars, the event was attended by 12 former footballers and football celebrities, including Dida, Serginho, Zaccardo and Di Canio, Marchegiani, Eranio, Fuser, Cravero, Bonetti, Tamburini, Annoni and Marcolin.
